"There is plenty of research showing that cancer thrives in an acidic environment, and doesn't survive in an normal, more alkaline environment. Cancer cells make your body even more acidic as they produce lactic acid. So if you have cancer, your pH levels are low and your body is too acidic.

Taking action to make your body more alkaline is vital in the battle against cancer. Unfortunately...

The majority of the foods and drinks we consume are acidic, such as meat, grains and sugar, with colas and other soft drinks being highly acidic. So unless you have been eating a very healthy diet, full of fresh fruit and vegetables, your body is way too acidic, creating a very good environment for cancer to grow in."

Eleven Recommended Cancer-Fighting Supplements

The following list can be found in An Anti-Cancer Diet (pgs 37 - 39), along with a two or three paragraph summary for each supplement.  This list has been assembled to address the underlying causes of cancers, the low-oxygen, high-acid environment that cancers thrive in, as well as to supply important replacement parts for the insides of your cells.  These 11 recommended supplements also give your body everything it needs to heal, and reach optimum health.

1) Vitamin C (shown to fight cancer with intravenous delivery).
2)
Colloidal Silver (kills all bacteria, virus, fungus, and yeast, which may be an underlying cause of cancer).
3)
Zeolite (activates the P21 gene that tells the cancer cells to die like normal cells).  While some evidence suggests that powders are better, the link below to Get Healthy Again has a special liquid Zoelite product that is recommended by Cancer Fighting Strateges.
4)
CoQ-10 (shown in 1961 to be lacking in cancer patients, it helps deliver oxygen to the inside of your cells).
5)
MSM (has other health benefits, but is used here mainly as a catalyst to help other substances cross into the cells).
6)
Oxy-E (oxygenates your cells, which cancer hates; cancer likes a low oxygen, high acid environment).
7)
Elemental pH (corrects a high acid environment in your body by delivering tiny pieces of electrically charged calcium to your cells).
8)
Blue-Green Algae (repairs your mitochondria by providing replacement enzymes, also provides all the minerals needed for your body).
9)
U-Fn 35% Kombu concentrate (activates a gene that tells cancer cells to digest themselves by releasing enzymes).
10)
PapayaPro enzymes (papaya powder contains protease, which helps to break down the fibrin coating of all cancerous tumors).
11) Pr
obiotics (good intestinal bacteria, which are linked with healthy immune response).

(Note: Vitamin D-3 has been shown to help prevent colorectal cancer, but only when taken in doses more than 2,000 International Units (IUs) per day, the current RDA upper limit.  The latest research shows that taking 4,000 - 5,000 IUs of vitamin D-3 per day provides a great variety of health benefits, including cancer prevention.)

Two of the 11 recommended supplements, Zeolite and U-fucoidan, should probably be taken by all people diagnosed with cancer.  Zeolite is very impressive; in one study, it cured over 78% of the people (with mostly stage 4 cancers) over a 14 month period; and if U-fucoidan is placed in a test tube with cancer cells (of any kind), it makes the cancer cells digest themselves within 72 hours, and doesn't touch the surrounding healthy cells.  You can buy Vitamin C and Colloidal Silver online from The Vitamin Shoppe, as well as from many other suppliers.  All of the rest of the recommended supplements can be purchased online from Get Healthy Again, other on-line suppliers, and many supplement stores.

The website Cancer Fighting Strategies
may be the single best on-line resource for anyone seeking information about natural, "cures," for cancer.  They have pages of information on almost every supplement recommended above, including Zeolite and U-fucoidan.  Note: their site has, "Eleven Strategies," this is not the same as the, "11 Supplements," above.  Each of their strategies focuses on an underlying condition (low oxygen, high acid, etc.) and each strategy contains many recommended products that have been shown to be effective.

Plant-Based Diet Lowers Cancer Risk

"In 1999 five top health organizations in the U.S. (American Cancer Society, American Dietetic Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, National Institutes of Health and American Heart Association) jointly endorsed and promoted a plant-based diet for optimal health."

"All the evidence points to a low-fat, high-fiber diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and beans, as being the best for cancer prevention. Not surprisingly, vegetarians, whose diets easily meet these requirements, are at the lowest risk for cancer. Vegetarians have about half the cancer risk of meat-eaters."  Read more at The Cancer Project.

"Soy in childhood may reduce breast cancer risk."  -  "Eating soy regularly as a young girl may help protect against the development of breast cancer later on in life, according to a study reported today in Boston at the American Association for Cancer Research's Frontiers in Cancer Prevention Research Meeting."  -Nov 14, 2006 (Reuters Health)  Read more at breastcancer.org.

"A review of research on the effects of vegetarian diets among Seventh-Day Adventists... was presented to the National Institutes of Health (NIH)...  On average, Seventh-Day Adventist males had lower-than-average serum cholesterol levels and blood pressure and their overall cancer death rate was about half that of the general population.  The overall cancer death rate of females was also lower."  You can read the complete article at the American Cancer Society's website."

"Life long vegetarian diet reduces the risk of colorectal cancer."  -  "According to new research presented at Digestive Disease Week® 2007 a vegetarian diet may have a significant impact on the gastrointestinal (GI) system, affecting the risk for certain diseases.  - May 23, 2007 (Science Daily) Read More.

Beet Juice Fights Cancer

Beetroot juice contains anti-cancer agents bound to the bright colors.  Beet juice is used in Europe to fight cancer, and increases the uptake of oxygen by up to 400%  (cancer hates oxygen).  Go to
juicingbook.com to read more about the heath benefits of beet juice; this is an excellent site, and it gives the sage advice to never drink pure beet juice, but to always mix it with other juice.  Juicing beets (with carrots and celery) is recommended in An Anti-Cancer Diet.

Web-Based Cancer Support Groups

The Cancer Survivor's Network is the American Cancer Society's
support group.

The
Association of Cancer Online Resources (ACON) says they are, "the free online lifeline for everyone effected by cancer & related disorders."  They have over 70 support groups, by type.

Daily Strength has hundreds of supports groups, including over 30 groups for different types of cancers.

Cancer Compass is an online forum for cancer patients to interact and learn from each other, and they have posts about new research findings.

The Wellness Community provides, "cancer support, education and hope."  It has both an English, and a Spanish, "Virtual Wellness Community."

Cancer Care says, "What makes us different from other online groups is that each of CancerCare’s groups is facilitated by a professional oncology social worker..."  They have support groups for cancer patients, caregivers and loved ones, and for the bereaved.

The Cancer Information Network maintains a large database of books, support groups, and links to other sites.
